Circl ("we") is the game-organizing service at getcircl.app and the Circl iOS app. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to delete it.
What we collect
- Your phone number — your sign-in identity.
- The display name you choose.
- Your games and activity in them: RSVPs, attendance, results, votes.
- Payment records for paid games — amounts and status. Card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.
- A device push token, if you enable notifications.
How we use it
To run your games — rosters, locks, waitlists, results — to process game payments through Stripe, and to send you notifications you've enabled (push) or transactional texts about games you joined (SMS).
No ads. No selling or sharing your data for marketing. No tracking across other apps or sites.
Who processes it for us
Supabase (hosting/database), Stripe (payments), Apple (push notifications), and Twilio (SMS). Each receives only what its job needs.
Sharing inside the product
People in your game see your display name and your in-game activity — RSVPs, attendance, results, and votes are how the product works. Your phone number is never shown to other players.
Retention & deletion
Delete your account any time in the app: Profile → Delete account.
Deletion removes your profile, sign-in identity, push tokens, and preferences; games you organize are deleted; your appearances in other people's games are kept but disconnected from your identity. Payment records are retained as required for financial compliance.
